We built this home in 2003 for ourselves to be an ideal mountain cottage. We loved it and still do. The whole package has so much character and the property is great – ok, I am a tad biased. Not only is there board and batten on the exterior but we brought it inside too and painted the walls and ceilings cottage colors of blue, yellow and green. There is minimal sheetrock and some of the wood on the walls is stained, wood floors throughout. There is a view, beautiful sunsets, fenced pasture, timber frame barn, tiered stone terraces, stone patios, screened porch and lots more. One private bedroom up and one on main. In addition, the terrace level has another bedroom with access to a covered stone patio, large bath, den, another bonus room and large laundry room. There is private space for everyone, guests and/or kids. It is located in Highland Gap on 3.7 acres, which is about 15 minutes from Highlands, NC. It is a great mountain getaway!
